Eugene Kim grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, surrounded by live performances since he was a kid. Later, he headed to Los Angeles to learn about Child Psychology at Pepperdine University. While there, he joined the Groundlings Improv School in his final year and chose a path in showbiz.
Since that time, Kim has been part of several indie movies like “The Helix… Loaded,” “I Remember You” (with Burl Moseley), and “Sake-Bomb.” He’s also popped up on TV shows such as “Major Crimes” (with Raymond Cruz and Jonathan Del Arco), “Adam Ruins Everything,” “Game Shakers,” “Grandfathered,” and “Project 420.”
In his spare moments, Eugene enjoys doing stand-up, improv, and sketch comedy. He’s entertained audiences at well-known spots like The Comedy Store, Flappers, and various Improv locations across the nation. Eugene is also a voice actor, lending his voice to different video games.
Presently, Eugene lives in Los Angeles and is part of Evolution Entertainment.
Acting Career
Eugene Kim began his acting journey in 2005, contributing his voice to characters like Kang Bramblestaff in video games such as “World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria.” His early work also showed his versatility in voice acting with the 2012 video game “Sleeping Dogs.”
In 2013, Eugene transitioned to the small screen, appearing in the TV series “Sake-Bomb” and the short film “#.”
Over the years, Eugene expanded his repertoire, making appearances in popular TV series like “Game Shakers” in 2015 and “Grandfathered” in 2016. His role in “Dice” the same year gained recognition as he portrayed David alongside Andrew Dice Clay.
Eugene’s talents extended to movies as well. In 2016, he played Quinn in the film “Car Dogs,” showcasing his ability to move seamlessly between different mediums.
In 2019, Eugene made a mark in his career with “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson,” displaying his comedic skills and growing his fan base.
Continuing his success, Eugene secured roles in shows like “The Rookie” in 2022, portraying Chester Frey, and “The Lincoln Lawyer,” playing Deputy D.A. Ernest Choi.
Eugene’s dedication to his craft is evident in his recent work. In 2023, he lent his voice to the video game “Starfield” as Alex ‘Archangel’ Vong.
His latest projects include the TV series “Obliterated,” where he takes on the role of Paul Yung.
