The actor was born as Mark Alan Dacascos on 26 February 1964 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents, Al Dacascos and Moriko McVey-Murray. He has two brothers and three sisters named Craig Ribeiro, Vanessa, Jade and Jaclyn Dacascos but one of the names is never known. He went to Los Angeles Valley College and then Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
Mark stands at a height of 5 feet 9¾ inches (1.77 m) tall and weighs around 74 kg.

The 55-year-old has a net worth of $2 million from acting profession since 1985. Mark marked his acting debut in the 1986 American daytime medical drama, General Hospital. His other TV appearances are Dragstrip Girl (1994), Marital Law (1999), The Middleman (2008) and Lucifer (2019). He became fortune to lure a lot of money as the presenter of American cooking show, Iron Chef America from 2004 to 2014.
