American Journalist Matt Lauer is the former host of NBC’s most loved program, The Today Show. He became the co-host of The Today Show from 1997 until the end of 2017 after the sexual harassment case put upon him.

The TV personality was born as Matthew Todd Lauer on 30 December 1957 in New York City. Talking about his family, he was raised by Marilyn Lauer, a boutique owner, and Jay Robert Lauer, a bicycle-company executive. To complete his education, he got his undergraduate degree from Ohio University at age 39 in 1997.

Later, he did attend the school’s Scripps College of Communication, School of Media Arts and Studies. Matt stands at the height of 5 feet 11 inches (1.8 m) tall and weighs around 68 kg.

The 62-year-old has a net worth of $60 million from professional journalism between 1979 until 2017. Ten years later, after taking a communications degree, he got the fortune to work at WOWK. He allied with NBC in 1992 and became the co-host of the early weekday news show Today in New York. A year within, he became the co-host at Five alongside Sue Simmons until 1996. In November of the same following year, NBC fired him. NBC broadcasting on 29 November 2017, announced his termination after the broadcasting’s unidentified woman accused him of sexual harassment. According to the victim, he harassed her during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, and in New York.
