Another is an up-and-coming artist on Spotify, and one of them is an up-and-coming actress who has worked on movies like Dystopia, Power, and The Hudson Tribes. However, in this article, we will be looking at meteorologist Leslie Lopez. Leslie is not only a skilled weather forecaster but also a versatile media personality who can handle different roles with ease. She has experience as a reporter, anchor, host, and traffic reporter in various markets, including San Diego and Bakersfield. She also assists in hosting “On The Red Carpet” at the Academy Awards with George Pennacchio, Karl Schmid, and Roshumba Williams. She currently works as a weather anchor for ABC7 Eyewitness News, delivering accurate and engaging forecasts for the 4 am, 5 am, and 6 am newscasts. She joined the ABC7 family in 2016 and has since become a familiar and trusted face for many Angelenos.

Early Life

Leslie Lopez was born on November 7, 1983, in California, United States. There is no information about her parents and she is different from Leslie Lopez who is the older sister of actress and singer Jennifer Lopez. Also, her parents are not  Guadalupe Rodríguez & David Lopez.

Leslie, a sports enthusiast, played golf and soccer extensively in her childhood in Chino Hills, California. She attended Pomona Catholic High School. She later graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in political science. She also earned a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.

Professional Career

Following her graduation from the University of California, Leslie moved to San Diego and started working with KUSI News. During her early years, Leslie was asked to fulfill the dual responsibilities of host and weather reporter. After a few year’s time, Leslie jumped ship and started working for the NBC-affiliated KGET based in Los Angeles. She worked as the weekend weather reporter and host. Around the same time, Leslie began working as a news writer and producer for CBS2/KCAL 9.

After a couple of years, Leslie was offered a similar position at ABC7 in Los Angeles. She took up the offer and currently serves as the morning meteorologist for the show Eyewitness News. Over the years, Leslie has worked with several TV stations including KABC-TV (Los Angeles, CA), WABC-TV (New York, NY), KTRK-TV (Houston, TX), WPVI-TV (Philadelphia, PA), WTVD-TV (Durham, NC), and KFSN-TV (Fresno, CA). She is currently working for ABC7 since joining in 2016.
