A king of excess, as Roberto Cavalli is known, began his journey in the fashion world in 1970 with his printed leather gowns. Since then, he has never looked back. His exotic prints and bohemian glamor is coveted by every celebrity worth their name.

He studied at the Academy of Art, Florence in 1957. In 1972, Cavalli opened his first boutique in Saint-Tropez. Throughout his career, Cavalli has made several advancements in textile technology. He released printed jeans in 1988, sand-blasted jeans in 1994, and stretch jeans in 1995.
