In November, it was revealed that Hall attempted to block Oates from selling his share of the duo's whole Oates enterprise to music publisher Primary Wave Music. 

Hall stopped selling his share of their rights. He even received a temporary restraining order against John. 

Within an hour, John replied and said Halls's statement was off-center and inaccurate. 

In a podcast, Oates said that their music will stand the test of time and hopes it will live forever. 

He added he does not like to live in the past. 

He said Daryl does his thing on his own, and he dies as per his will.
