While Yvonne was pregnant with Malachy, his father Cillian was starring in the 2006 war drama The Wind That Shakes The Barley. The married couple was living in Cork at the time. The Breakfast on Pluto actor says that the time he and his wife Yvonne were preparing to become fathers for the first time while filming The Wind…. was one of his favorite acting experiences.
Murphy’s birth was just around the corner when the 2005 film Batman Begins, in which his father plays Dr. Jonathan Crane/The Terrible Man, hit the cinemas.
