Taylor Dooley is an American actress whose career began in 2003, although it was in 2005 that she came to the limelight thanks to her role of the Lavagirl in the film; Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. She was previously married to her longtime boyfriend Justin Cassatta but they parted ways in 2021 after birthing two children; Jack Alexander Cassotta and Adaline Joan Cassotta.
Taylor captured the hearts of many as a child actress in the mid-2000s. Though she left acting to focus on her degree, the 30 years old has since returned to the screen with appearances in Mountain Hell (2018), Geimmerson Manor (2021), and Devotion (2022).

Taylor Dooley was born on February 26, 1993, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Her roots can be traced to a long ancestry of Irish, German, English, Sioux Indian, Belgian and Polish.
Taylor’s parents have been identified as John Dooley and Debbi Dooley even though other information about them is sparcely available. According to records, she grew up with her brother Drew Dooley who also shares her passion for performing arts.
After Taylor completed her elementary education, her parents moved to Arizona where she got enrolled in the art school Phoenix Theatre. Thereafter, the family moved to California and Taylor took several acting classes before settling for a degree in psychology.

It may be hard to tell when Taylor developed a passion for performing arts, however, it’s obvious that attending the Phoenix Theatre arts school gave her a push. Following her graduation, she started working as a print model for a number of magazines, advertisement commercials, and minor roles in local plays.
Her first known role was in the short series, Star Trek: Hidden Frontier in 2003. In 2005 Taylor earned the lead role in the film Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. She also starred in movies including Monster Night, The Apology, House M.D, White Paddy, and The Alyson Stoner Project (2009).
Although the actress took a break to focus on her degree and family, she made a comeback in 2016 and appeared in the movie Hell Mountain (2018) which portrayed her as Eden. Some of her recent movies are Geimmerson Manor (2021) and Devotion (2022).
