Colby Minifie was born on January 31, 1992, in New York to her parents, Eleanor Kemp and William Haden Minifie. Her father was an opera singer and in line with that, Colby, developed a flair for acting right from childhood, and at the age of 11, she was already acting.
She was part of the Young Arts Scholars – a charity organization that helped to nurture young and emerging talents as high-school artists where she was fully involved in the film discipline.
After her elementary education, she moved to the City University of New York, Macaulay Honors College where she studied Film Theory and Studio Art and bagged a degree in the discipline.
